Start from scratch $800 budget Gaming PC

Go to solution Solved by IanDrexP,

that's a good list! I didn't put very many details to start with which I apologize for. I'm looking for nvidia gpu with intel Mobo and 16+ gigs of ram with 2tb of hdd. ssd is optional not necessary, preferably with more money towards the gpu and cpu. case doesn't have to be future proof since I won't be upgrading this pc it just needs to fit everything once.

Got you 2TB of storage by removing the CPU cooler

  1. a 970 will put you over budget and this AMD GPU performs excellently, well worth the money. Also not worth going down to a 960.
  2. You dont need 16GB of RAM for gaming.
  3. Case is the cheapest I could find.
  4. PSU is the cheapest from reliable manufacturers I could find.

Canadian Dollars..

What was the point of the dollar sign then? Shouldn't it just have been 800 cad. Kind of like 800usd is $800. Adding the dollar sign and cad was confusing especially since there are people into cad (autocad).

What do you have from you old build/builds that can be used in your new build?

lol sorry, I'm in the middle of Alberta. the Cad was an after thought.

800 from scratch better than a 960, going to be tough, or a very tiny increase from your current 960.

More details = bore refined builds.
