MOBAS?

ppolicherla91

Hey guys i really want to start taking my moba gaming more seriously as in like actually be good instead of just bot matching to boost my ego. Problem is there are soo many out there i am at a loss. Currently i play dota 2 mainly because i get access to all the heroes right out the box. But with heroes of the storm out and my blizzard fan boyness in the mix its hard to resist. also what with everyone seeming to play league i am at a loss for whether or not to just up and jump ships or stick it out where i have been. What advice do you guys have? any would be appreciated.

All MOBAs seem to be at their highest point right now. (except for HOTS maybe, because it just came out).

DOTA 2 seems fine, so I don't think you should change.

From my experience, I got into MOBAs from League of Legends and have stuck with it. I've tried HoN and another MOBA and have found to just prefer what I've started out with. I started playing League when there was no such thing as a 'meta' and sorta grew along with it once 'metas' were being established. I find it hard to switch to another MOBA because I've stuck myself with League for too long. Try other ones and just stick to one you are most comfortable with or the one you enjoy.

They're all great.  Stick with whichever one you're comfortable.  I don't really like HOTS, I think it's a little too casual.  I personally play league because it's the one that most of my friends play.  If you've been playing DOTA 2, stick with it.  I played it for a bit in the closed beta, and it seemed equally competitive.  Or jump between them.  I have a few friends that play all 3 because they can't get enough of the MOBA genre.

MOBA's have steep learning curves. Trial and error!

Basic guide to CPU's!

If I said I were 14, you would call me a kid. If I say 70, you’ll entitle me too old. If I say 20 you say I’m inexperienced and if I say 40 than I'm too boring.

League gives you full access as well,  just week by week.  Different free champs gives you an opportunity to try them all out, and purchase the ones you want with in game currency.

There are so many type of moba right now

as a player my self...

it is hard to recomend moba (specially the most popular one) because learning step is huge
if you can live without one then don't jump in, most people (who already suck, and finally judge the game it self is bad because they just can't handle it)

I played Dota 2 and League of Legends for years and I recently started playing Heroes of the Storm and I have a blast with that game. It is very easy compared to LoL or Dota 2 but it is very fast paced with a lot of action and more refreshing change style that is focused on completing objectives.

I can only recommend it.

I tried Dota after playing league for about a year and I did so terrible even though I'm not too bad with league. Just remember if you start playing league, use the cheat command '/mute all' if you need to.
