h100i still king for reliable and quiet cooling?

Looking for a CPU water cooler that doesn't make too much noise and that will last a while without problems. Is the h100i my best bet?

For normal sized cases, yes. It's also well priced. I think they have a new version, h100gt or something now.

I splurged for the h110, but I had to hunt for a case that it would fit into that wasn't $160+.

The H100i was never any of those two things,

it was always noisy and had a lot of motor problems. ( I owned two H100i that where noisy and the first one had a rattling pump )

The newer H100iGT I have yet to see any problems with. ( reviews seem to be positive )

Recommend what is best, not what you preffer.

Almost all the AIOs are made by Asetek and CoolIT. All of them can have bad noisy pump. It's very much down to your luck.
