the titan x and 980ti are incredibly close when not overclocked. look at j2c 980ti hybrid, it beats it, now this can probably overclock higher than the hybrid card

The Titan X beats it in every  1440p & 4K benchmark...

Are the classified chips binned?

All chips are binned.... but sadly I don't know if they are the better ones.

Hehe watch the new benchmarks by linus on the G1 Ti. I know its not a reference but it just pummels the hell out of the Titan X.

Yeah, it boosts much higher. Not to mention their Titan X's boost clock is abysmal.

I could be wrong but this just seems like a reference pcb with a evga cooler on it that is overclocked a bit. O and a backplate. For the money it is worth it I think but I would still wait for the kingping which has been a custom pcb as well in the past.

I am sure that someone pointed this out already... but that's NOT reference PCB

Well, this just made the top of my parts list. I was heavily favoring the ASUS Strix GTX 980 Ti until now, even though the specs are better. After the price difference is known, they might have to still duke it out in the end for my final decision.

This means 900€ in EU, since the cheapest 980Tis you can find cost ~700€

Which is NOT a surprise since every classified and kingpin branded cards never are reference pcb's anyways.

Buying Asus is money for skynet. Enjoy sloppy human soldering and excellent customer service with evga. ;)

Makes sense EVGA has to invest more into their customer service due to errors with human soldering
