Is Half Life 3 ever going to be released or made?

Its been many years since HL Ep1 and 2 came and obviously no game needs that much time to develop and obviously I think they are never going to make Portal 3,TF3 AMD HL.So this means that valve has given up making games and are juar making as much as money possible before vanishing from the face of gaming industry?

Or let's think optimistically?

Shouldn't it be Half Life 2 : Episode 3 ? I mean... the story didn't exactly end in episode 2... if anything it's a massive cliffhanger.

anyone can add a game on steam manually and the other window is placed over it. hence there's no other options except recent updates

As I remember the story was actually finished. They closed the alien portal.

Hey bare in mind that Duke Nukem had a LONG time before a new one was released, and im sure TF2 took a long time too, So who knows, but it seems valve is just doing fine sitting on it's butt and letting steam and TF2 + DOTA rake in the money it needs to keep running.

 

but it would be great if a new half life with a whole new engine could be released. gmod would be freaking awesome

Id say the word you are looking for is anticipation, not hype. 

How can there be hype over something we literally have seen or heard nothing of.

That's not even a good fake, obvious signs of Photoshop. Took me 2 minutes to save the image and examine it and find the doctored pieces. Whoever made this is really unintelligent, he pulled the pieces to build the fake parts from the same image so you can find obvious pieces such as "Source 2 demo: Portal 3 atlas" In which the 2 was taken from "Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead" and then parts were scrapped off due to the fuzz from combining with the ":" in the image. Really lazy and poor job on his part. Took about 20 seconds with the image to notice. That's one of the harder spots though (Comparatively) If you just look around the text of the added pieces it's blatant within a second if you've ever used Photoshop.

 

Edit: LMAO. Just noticed, look at the highlighted HL3 piece. When he cut out what was highlighted before he didn't replace the grey with blue again. So bad, my god. Did anyone actually fall for this?
