Logitech C920 60FPS?

I am looking to get into PC Gaming and recording with a Facecam and as far as I can tell, everyone likes the Logitech C920 a lot. But, if I record a game at 60FPS and Facecam at 30FPS in OBS, would there be a problem of the Facecam not being synced with the gameplay? Thanks!

A little tip, you should be recording at 30 fps.  Trying to record at 60 means that the video has to be twice as compressed, meaning a lot worse video quality.  30 fps is good enough for just viewing.  Unless you have an unlimited bitrate I suppose.

FPS in streaming depends on your hardware, bitrate in streaming depends on your internet speed, nothing has to do with image quality

 

but in recording, yeah high bit rate means better quality, but that also means that you'll need better internet to view higher bitrate footage on youtube

Do you not understand how recording works?  Recording is just taking a picture so many times a second.  Each image has a file size.  60 images is going to be twice as large of a file size as 30 images.  Let's say each image is 2 mb and we took 1 second of footage and now you want compress the video down to 6 mbps, that means you have to compress the 60 images all the way down to 0.1 mb per image, vs the 30 fps recording which is only compressed down to 0.2 mb per image.  The 30 fps images retain twice as much data as the 60 fps images, so therefore the 60 fps video was compressed twice as much.

I know it takes more size lol, but why are you forcing 30 FPS when 60 FPS is clearly winning no matter what? youtube wouldn't support it if 30 FPS was better than 60

I said it depends on the bitrate.  If he is only running 5 mbps or less 60 fps is probably going to significantly hurt the image quality.  If he is doing 10 mbps or higher then it probably doesn't make a difference.

30FPS is a blurry headache inducing mess I went to the cinema recently and lookd at my webcam the other day and I felt a tad queasy from it.
