rrp is 270 in uk 

You can find i7-4790k's from scan for about £270, only found that after i had made this post, regardless it is a £30 saving, but dont know if it is worth it with skylake and broadwell around the corner.

yep :) there was 2 on the ocuk member market new and sealed for £200 as well. you probably can't get on that though.

This isn't a huge sale of anything "Hot" worthy

it is for a cpu. intel controls the price very strictly.
