Project Haswell Black

phillcall

The QE from corsair obviously produce less noise but that could be because they are 20mm smaller... they manage to cool the h100i as good as the stock corsair fans so must have pretty good static pressure. The 120mm corsair fans that came with the h100i were like jumbo jets ha, way too noisy for me.

I want to buy some more fans for my Midi R2 , but I don't know if I should go with 3x120mm QE's from Corsair or 3x140 QE's or 3x140mm FDR2's..

did you sleeve those molex to 6 pin cables...? pretty sure those aren't meant to be used. looks like youre also missing a 12v wire to your gpu in that last pic.

btw that 770 looks great.

The Midi R2 is the most beautiful case ever produced  ;)

I have a question , what fans are the best ? The 140mm R2's from Fractal or the 120mm QE from Corsair ? In terms of noise and the air that they move? Thanks and great build BTW :)

Actually really don't like it :P

Update...

Added some hardware and made some changes to my rig.. don't really think i can improve it much more without a full watercooled setup.

Let me know what you think, and any advice on watercooling would be great!

Black and white builds are nice.  Good job

Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

Completely white, the camera makes them look blue...

They are Bitfenix alchemy LEDS.

I originally bought a cheaper set and they nearly set the pc on fire lol. Good job i smelt the burning plastic smell early! Lesson learned.

UPDATE..

Starting to plan my first custom loop. So far i've chosen the following parts;

EK-FC770 GTX - Nickel Full-Cover Water Block   EK-Supremacy Clean CSQ- Nickel Universal Water Block EK-D5 Vario X-RES 140 including Water Cooling Pump Alphacool 35272 NexXxoS XT45 Radiator 240

EK BLACK COMPRESSION FITTINGS http://www.scan.co.uk/products/ek-csq-fitting-10-13mm-g1-4-black

I'm aiming for clear tubing with a solid white coolant... yet to find.

Using the components above iv done a quick sketch to see how i can run tubing best. Let me know what your opinions are and any advice will be welcome!

this is friggin sweet, very nice

Sorry for the OT but come on, could you please at least remove the pictures or not quote the first post when posting something as generic as the thing you said? It's annoying to scroll through the same pics twice (well, it's an amazing lookin' rig, so it isn't that bad to see it twice), especially on a phone.

Rant over :D

Can't wait to see the loop done. What you did without it was a stunning rig, I really don't have the words to describe it after you set up WC in it.
