Need help with my new hard drive

Hey guys I need help installing my hdd I put the sata cable in and the power cable in I have my os on a ssd but its not popping up as a drive its notpopping up at all

Is the drive detected in the bios?

yes it is but it is not showing up in disk management

You either need to format it or assign it a drive letter. you can do that in computer manager under the disk manager tab.

Make sure you have the latest sata drivers for your motherboard. Some boards don't support larger hdd capacities until the drivers are updated. I  would also try using 3rd party software like EaseUS's partition master, which is free.

Are you really looking in disk management or are you just double clicking "MY COMPUTER"?
