Apple released a direct competitor to googles chromebook, featuring a low(er) price tag. The starting model is equipped with

many specs similar to the chromebook, but still keeps the great design. Also, gone is the 11in macbook air, the cheapest mac is

now the 14in macbook slim.

Right, you expect us to believe Apple's released a new laptop without a keynote?

apple. competitor. lolwut?

they're a fashion trend. nothing more.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

http://store.apple.com/us/buy-mac/macbook-slim Link doesn't work mate. Hax.

I highly doubt this would happen anytime soon (Or ever) , considering they just released the regular Macbook which is already slim, and UM THE MACBOOK AIR.

If you want to buy a Chromebook competitor that runs OSX, buy a Mac Mini.

Edit: Pretty sure that's a picture of an Air.

i feel that at the same price point Mac laptops do not compete well in terms of performance.

therefore i feel that Mac laptops of all varieties are lacking, and without the image of "it's apple" they would not sell.

do not be provoked by my opinions, however worded.

You should write it like that, otherwise you start a flame war, and tbh you can't say that its a fashion trend, maybe for you but for sure not in general
