How to convert Video into MP4?

Okay i need Free convertor... Vegas Pro 12.0 (64-bit) it's not opening video files if they are not MP4

So can anyone help me out?

I just did about 10 minutes ago, so yeah. 

It works pretty well, tinker around with the settings and maybe look up a guide for how to set it up if you're feeling lazy for the specific purpose. 

One piece of universal advice though, if you don't need it done too quickly, than set the x264 Preset to Placebo, if it's available.

Have you used it before?

I use atube catcher, converts anything from one format to another, also includes features such as downloading from video sites via pasting a link, screen and audio recording, its a nifty all in one.

You got a broke Vegas then because what sort of files isn't it opening? It should open AVI, Quicktime, MP4, MTS....only a few weird ones does it NOT like.

how to convert what to mp4? you question doesn't make sense, what format is your original video?  vegas pro 12 accepts a lot of formats except MKV

VLC can also do video converting
