Linus what sort of ppd would your 36 core 72 thread twin titan super video encription beastie produce? i know you have run all the gaming and production benches but what about F@H all those cores and 2 titans surley its got to be worth a day dedicating it to F@H :)

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

It's no INSANE Render rig until it renders cancer obsolete. :) But really it would be cool to answer the challenge. I don't think it's economical to leave it running all the time, they have expenses and such, but at least let it run for a while and show us the PPD breakdown. I too am curious how those Xeons fare. I'd estimate the whole system would pull in something like 1.5M PPD but I really have no idea about those CPUs. My 4790k PPD is rather weak, but... but that's a lotta cores...

i feel like they should use it solely for folding until thhey move to the new office, just imagine what it can get done in a couple weeks of solid work

Not sure if you're aware of this but he isn't keeping the titans in there for the time being. It was just an option if in the future the program they use starts taking advantage of gpus.
