Headset Suggestions >$250 AUD

Hi guys,

I am looking for a new gaming headset under $250 AUD (absolute max), I own a snapped Creative Sound Blaster Tactic Omega 3D Headset. I need a new 7.1 surround sound headset with a decent Mic, I will mainly be using it for Tactical First Person Shooter games (I need to be able to hear rustling leaves or footsteps).

I own a Razer Deathadder Chroma and a Razer Blackwidow Chroma, so I originally thought about the Razer kraken 7.1 Chroma as I already use Synapse.

Thoughts needed,

Thank you

saying as your already into buying junk. http://www.razerzone.com/gb-en/gaming-audio/razer-carcharias-for-xbox-pc they have pretty good sound but are fragile.

if you want something a little more robust with decent sound for gaming... there not brilliant but are better than razers own designs.

I can tell you now that 7.1 isn't worth it. You have two speakers on a headset--perfect for stereo sound. The headset I'd recommend is the HyperX Cloud or Cloud IIs. They're cheap and one of the best headsets out there.

I have a pair of Astro A40s that I actually just got. Many people on this forum and amongst the internet won't agree that they're worth the money, which they may not be, but they're the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn. I came from Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros. One thing I don't like about the Astros as opposed to the Beyers is that the A40s literally feel like they were made with shitty cheap plastic and they feel quite fragile.
