1 can is enough
you will probably only use half of it

I used a whole can because I messed up the first time and had to redo it

1 can, if you need more, your coats are too thick.

Thin coats, and multiple coats. Don't lay it on thick.

Where exactly do you buy them in store?

If you're in the UK, try B&Q, The Range, Homebase, Halfords, can't think of anywhere else...

It should say on the can, it depends on the spray. Some would advise 30 minutes, an hour, maybe more.

Plasti-Kote have a good guide: http://www.spraypaint.co.uk/Step_By_Step (would also recommend their paints if you can find a store that sells them)

how long do you leave it after a layer and how many layers?

dont leave it in direct sunlight

dont do it in a windy place

leave it about 30 mins per coat

every layer should be very thin, only about 5 seconds of spray time

the first few layers should be even thinner, so it looks like this:

You want to wait 30 minutes between coats. The first few coats should be very very light, after you get a solid layer of plasti-dip you can start putting it on a bit heavier. It took me about 8 coats (4+ hours) to paint my h105.

Also be aware that you'll need to cut the plasti-dip where it meets masking tape or it will peel off with the tape.
