Multiple monitor management software?

I have currently have multiple monitors hooked up to my setup. I was, however, slightly disappointed at the functionality built into windows. I looked upon the the internet for some solutions and I have found a solution in the name of Display Fusion (Luke actually did a review on it, so that's cool). However, I do not have the money for the pro version and the free version looks generally mediocre.

So, now getting to the actual point of this thread, I was wondering if anyone here knew of any free programs that have the same functionality as the pro version of display fusion? That would be cool. YEAH!

I have the pro version of display fusion, and while it is nice. I just don't use it.

Initially I was using it so I could run my monitors permanently in surround, and still simulate 3 separate windows, but it was quirky and worked like 80% of the time. It was easier for me to just selectively enable/disable surround.

Once you get used to the windows hotkeys, the multimonitor support in windows 8.1 is good enough, for me at least. Win7 I used UltraMon. But that was just for taskbars on all 3 displays which win8.1 does natively.

Depends what you want to do with that software. But most will have 30 day trial and then leave you with free version which has really basic features

I bought display fusion for cheap during a steam sale, but I don't really use it anymore because

A) windows 8.1/10 handles 3/4 monitors just fine,

B  ) compiz in Linux lets me do everything display fusion does, but for free.
