Uhh...

Ice does a thing called melt.

WHen it melts, it turns to water.

Water (with ions and such in it) is conductive.

Bad.

If he turns it around, it might be fine. Then the water won't go into the pi.

You are correct, but I have doubts in the fact of your water system making 100% PURE water available.  Does ice help this issue?

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

Dry ice is like a buck a pound and it sublimes into CO2 so in a box the CO2 will displace the moist are making a dry enviroment

H2O isn't conductive in and of itself.

H2O has some conductive properties - it's just a very good insulator by itself. But the water will eventually pick up ions that will make it conductive.
