They're a little unbalanced, that's being generous. Post your budget and I and my fellow forum members will cook you up the best build for your money. ;)

By the way, what's the purpose for the rig, just to be sure?

Really? That cpu is really old and outdated , why would you ever recommend that over an APU?

That CPU is outdated, the motherboard isn't compatible because you are trying to put a different CPU in a FM2 Socket that only accepts APU's so tell us your budget and we can help you pick your parts

I had forgotten that the 750K was older. I am not that great when it comes to the AMD FM2 socket processors. Sorry

And I really want to build it myself. I normally go for Intel processors but AMD is so much cheaper.

I also want to have a lot of blue lights because it would look cool through the window in the case. (Hence the fans with blue lights)

I know $500 isn't a lot but with school coming, I'm on a tight budget. I might be able to push to $600 but that's the max.

If I were you, I'd go with an Intel 3570k and a decent $130ish mobo, and no gpu for now. And no ssd, just a 500 gb ssd. The intel graphics hd4000 should be enough for now. This way, you can oc the cpu, and once you save up, get a beast gpu later on. And after that, you can get a 240gb ssd(prices will drop by the time you get around to buying it). I'd suggest more specific parts, but its kinda late where I am right now.

Finally my Santa hat doesn't look out of place

That should do you just fine plus you can save a few bucks and still be able to play most games on low or medium settings. Minecraft is a breeze to run so don't worry.

Minecraft is mostly CPU Heavy and uses very little on the GPU side just start with a intel i5 and then build around that. May i also ask do you already have a keyboard and mouse and a monitor or is that going to be within the 500$ budget as well, if you need all that your better off buying a laptop. Just my 2 cents

This one is nice. Keep in mind that this doesn't have an OS, so if you can swing it, go Windows. If you can't, go Ubuntu.
