[Computex] Bitfenix Atlas had a makeover, and will be available soon

Last year in Computex Bitfenix revealed their concept case Atlas, which is a big red and white case, with a dual-chamber design and excellent support of water cooling ( http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/160697-computex-press-releases-bitfenix-corsair-noctua/). But to cut the price down and reduce shipping costs, Bitfenix gave the Atlas case a makeover, and the case will be available soon.

The new Atlas

The new Atlas case comes and black and grey, instead of red and white. It is a little bit smaller than the original one, but still features a dual-chamber design, and offer excellent support of water-cooling. The left chamber will hold the motherboard, cooling equipment, and graphics cards, while the right chamber will house the power supply, storage devices, and etc. There are tons of fan mounts in the case, You can mount up to 3 120mm fans, or 2 140 mm fans on the top panel, or the front panel, and a 120mm fan on the rear of each chamber. You can mount up to 360mm rad on the top and front panels of each chamber, but you can't mount 4 360 rads at once.

On the top panel, besides the usual power switch, reset switch, headphone jack and microphone jack, you can find 2 USB 3.0 port, 1 USB 3.1 Type-A port, and one USB 3.1 Type-C port. The case also features a newly design tool-free HDD rack ( with anti-vibration rubber), but you can only mount 4 HDDs with that rack, which I think is a little bit less with the size of the case.

The most interesting thing about this case is the motherboard tray. There are 2 trays, one for each chamber. There are handles on the back of both chambers, thus you can pull out the tray in ease. Also you can swap the 2 trays to change the orientation and chambers of the PC.

This case can hold motherboard up to E-ATX, power supplies up to 220mm in length, CPU cooler up to 170mm in height, and graphics cards up to 380mm in length.

According to Japanese tech website gdm.or.jp, Bitfenix planned to release this case in August, with a price tag around $300.

(The introduction of the Atlas case starts around 04:16)

Did anyone else find the II from the COD Black Ops II logo?

No but

Is probably what I'd theme a build around in this. (Inquisition faction from Warhammer 40,000)

Maybe they finally realized how stupid they were the past week and are hiding under the covers in shame.

So you can choose which side the motherboard faces? That's really cool! I have my PC to the left of me, so a traditional windowed case would make no sense to me if I were to put it next to me.

Case looks pretty too :)

New to Star Citizen? Look no further!

Looks like a pretty neat case to use. But I like big cases for further expansion on my personal rig.
