For those who never heard of Realforce, or topre's switch, maybe check here and here.

Capacitive switches (the one these keyboard uses) doesn't really have an on/off state,

the new prototype adds 256 level pressure sensing to each switch.

In comutex, topre demos how this could be useful.

Alongside of normal keyboard feature,  this prototype adds a few modes:

In XInput mode, you can map any key to XBox One/360 controller's analog input, and play games with it.

In MIDI mode, you can play music just like a MIDI keyboard.

Auto switch to upper case when you hit a switch hard.

It could also emulate as a usable mouse (no demo video found).

This prototype is still in development, it will be made into product around next year.

A new RGB backlid model is also announce, targeted for western market.

The future retro keyboard. I like it a lot. Might get one if it isn't like $300

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Sounds like it would be an awesome keyboard, can't wait to see more analogue switches in the future.

Haha, RGB because western b****s love RGB.

I can imagine when someone rages and wants all caps. They now can have a legit reason to bash their keyboard for caps. :P

The analog switches sound really cool. Hopefully they actually work well instead of being a gimmick.

This is awesome. Too bad I bottom out my switches too often for the upper case thing to be useful. Just type a little too hard.

You know what's easier than buying and building a brand new PC? Petty larceny!
If you're worried about getting caught, here's a trick: Only steal one part at a time. Plenty of people will call the cops because somebody stole their computer -- nobody calls the cops because they're "pretty sure the dirty-bathrobe guy from next door jacked my heat sink."

I wish the backlit board was an actual Realforce, but hopefully Realforce will one day do so.  Hopefully it's a 55g Topre and with a MX-compatible stem.  Got a few extra sets of double-shot Pom + PBT keycaps.

I would love this, wasd for movement is far inferior to an analog stick or input, but mouse is better than stick aim

The problem here is many games have a hard switch between xinput and mouse and keyboard without mixed inputs

I've been using a ps4 controller as a makeshift steam controller and there are many games that reject mouse input when controller is being used

Watch Dogs, witcher3, and a few others allow it though
