Sanity check on watercooling parts

Hi all,

I've finally decided to make the jump into water cooling after far too many years to admit to of sticking with air cooled builds. I have put together a partial parts list (excluding fans, GPU blocks and a few extra fittings and a drain port) - all of which I will be getting shortly. I was just looking for some validation/help that the pipe diameters and fittings would basically all fit together without any issues.

I am technically and mechanically competent so hardline piping doesn't concern me at all, but as I haven't water cooled before (and I'm an Englishman living in America) the different diameters of things and switching between metric and imperial has me slightly confused.

Ohhhh! Ok. After some confusion about your fittings I figured it out (I missed one line of fittings). So the hardlines you have listed are ID 3/8" OD 1/2", the compression fittings you picked are for ID 3/8" OD 5/8". This will not work. Rectify!

The one useful comment I do have is...please don't pay $36 for 3 liters of water. Please. This is 'Murica, even in NYC you should be able to find gallon jugs (3.7-ish liters) of distilled, deionized water for something like $1-3 each. *maybe* $5. I can understand if you'd rather pay than lug a jug of water across NYC though. I can certainly understand that.

Thanks for the response @asquirrel I'll change the compression fittings to 3/8" x 1/2" and I'll check the stores nearby for distilled water next time I pass by.
