What response time is "adequate" for gaming?

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if there is a good/bad response time for gaming? I have an 8ms monitor and was wondering if it's good enough. I've read about how 5ms is what you should go for, and I've read anything under 11ms is perfectly fine for gaming. I pretty much play all kinds of games from CS to hearthstone. Any input is greatly appreciated!

There's no real answer except to not pay attention to response time.

Should be good. For multiplayer the ping would be the game changer.
