You have to give us an amount to do a build...

Unless you wanna see posts done with both i7's and xeons and i3's and PentiumDualcores...

What are YOUR needs with a computer... What do you plan on doing... (Go into detail, we can balance the build for your needs)

$400 I think

Best to buy a 2nd hand rig, seriously.. $400 is diminishing returns for a NEW PC.

$400 can get you a 1st gen or 2nd gen i3/i5+ 4-8GB of Memory and a half decent GPU from a past generation that would smash 1080p resolutions at a half decent framerate.

Which would SMASH any new $400 PC, in most things.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

So.. You want a $400 PC AND a Laptop, or just a laptop?

Sorry just a laptop

Too contradictory...and....I'm out.

Someone else will help you... 1:30am is too late to deal with running in circles.

Wish you the best of luck, shouldn't be too hard to find something decent... an older 'Gaming laptop' for example.
