power supply question

BryanDavis

if i am running fx-9590 at 4.7ghz  and i am wanting to add titan x (  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487143&cm_re=titan_x-_-14-487-143-_-Product).
what power supply should i get ? 1000 watt or 1300 ? i wish to have more wiggle room in the future to add another titan down the road.
i am already running a h80i for the water cooler for the cpu.

current power supply is 850 watts

1.should i upgrade the power supply ?

2. if  i should upgrade the power supply , how many watts ?
3. any good brands ? that are reliable ?

here are my current specs

is the cpu the bottle neck ?
or the graphics card ?

that would imply , i would half to buy a new mother board and cpu to get a intel chip.

how i compare intel and amd
intel = a heavy thinker completing task
amd = 10 really fast midgets completing task

titan is just too fast for any fx processor.

1000 would be enough, but two titans will choke so hard with fx. If you were to go with intel your current 850w would be enough for two titans.

What 850W PSU?

It's no good saying it's good enough when you don't know the model and make.

i5 4670k - Z87X-UD3H - EVGA GTX 670 Sig 2 - Samsung 840 Evo 250GB - 8GB Avexir Core White 1600Mhz - Corsair 750D w/ RGB LED Mod & Remote Control - 2x SP120 - 3x Enermax Cluster - 2TB Seagate SSHD - Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 - SuperFlower Leadex Gold 750W

I would go for a good quality 1000w from a reliable brand.

Also I would go intel i7 for pairing with a titan x

i3 4170 : Asus R9 270 : MSI h81M-Pro VD : Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO : Seagate Barracuda 1TB : NZXT Source 210 : Some Random RAM

1000W is already more then enough. Titan X use less power then 290X, and two 290X run happily off a good quality 850W.

when shopping for pc parts i go with brands i trust. i have had problems with corsair ram ( failed on me about a month after installed into my system) and their power supply on another computer. i boutgh these products new. i tend to go overkill beacause i don't want the lack of power. if you have the money to spend why buy cheap parts. intel vs amd argument comeing.

i will say you get for what you pay for when buying intel and amd

why do you think mac only uses intel chips. but amd does have their bargian for their cpu.
further more i wouldnt mind intels design with amd speed in out the door cpu. intel cpu with 8 cores and clocked at 5.0 ghz and it being able use the reasources on the motherboard efficently

i throw power need out the door , i have solar on my house. some of time , on rainy days i will turn of the computer lol
