What wattage PSU do I need to be able to upgrade to a GeForce GTX 970 on this build?

And yes it would fit that computer looks remarkably standard inside, are you sure gtx 970 will fit inside or did you measure it already?

I currently have a semi-decent desktop computer that I've purchased around this time last year and within it is a GeForce GT 620 graphics card. I'd like to upgrade my graphics card to the GeForce GTX 970 but unfortunately I only have a 280W PSU, which I understand can be a problem. Can you suggest a PSU that's sufficient to power my entire system in a whole yet keep it budget? Thanks in advance!

Yeah, that 600W is plenty for a GTX 970. You will be fine.
