The beep codes? It used to beep once and I looked it up and it said that's normal boot. Now there's no beep

Check all your cables. I had a similar issue and found I had only plugged in one of two cables into the graphics card.

no beep?  Try resetting the CMOS.  See if you get a beep then.

Tried that, didn't work. I just tried it again and noticed that right before the pc went off, the psu went ca-click click

The thing is, when I first got a system from CyberPower (never ever do that) It had the same error, but it was a completely different computer. Could it be both that psu and mine are faulty? I should mention, one time I managed to get to the windows installation and halfway through it before it turned off, if that makes any difference

What model: psu, motherboard, cpu cooler?

  1. Check under the motherboard, make sure nothing is shorting out.
  2. Remove everything but cpu & its cooler from motherboard. Unplug everything but the psu motherboard power, cpu cooler fan, and two wires from the case power switch. Does the same behavior occur? If so, is most likely motherboard or psu. Unlikely but could be power button circuit.
  3. If the on/off cycle does not take place insert one memory module in memory slot. See if that causes behavior.
  4. If cycle does not happen, insert a gpu and plug in a monitor.
  5. Then try keyboard.
  6. Then mouse.
  7. Then system drive.

The system cannot boot until step 3. And you will not be able to see anything until step 4. Presuming you get that far.

Are you saying that you got through 7 without error?

Another thing, when I start up the system, the fans are really loud for a few seconds, then they go quiet, but still running, then it turns off

That is totally meaningless.

Did you do step 1? If so, what was the result?

Did you do step 2? If so, what was the result?

Etc.

If the system kept restarting when you did #2 then it is most likely the cpu/motherboard, but could be the psu.
