Which OS is better?

Cixorc
Go to solution Solved by xXD4RZOXx,

windows 10 is still in beta or 'preview' so it can have some glitches, although its free, if you have the money i would get windows 7 because its easy to use and very well known, I personally dont like windows 8

I was thinking about install windows 10 in my computer cause I have Windows 8.1 but I feel Windows 7 still better than Windows 8.1. So my question is, Windows 10 will be better than Windows 7?

IMO

OH **** YEA!!!!

A lot of things have changed, but in my opinion it's for the better.

Things like DX12 won't come to windows 7 iirc, which is a pretty major concern for any kind of gaming.

And it's free? So why not?

When in doubt: C4

At launch I don't think so, but in a few years yes.

Just keep windows 8.1 if you install windows 10 it will expire since it's not out yet.

Windows 10 will be free for licensed 7 & 8 users so I'd hold on to 8.1 until 10 launches. I personally never upgraded to 8 from 7, however will move to 10 when it officially releases from beta

Windows 8.1 should have better performance than 7, it does for everyone else, if you dont like the interface get startisback, start8, classic shell or any other ways to get the windows 7 interface back

This, also it will offer a direct update to win 10. With win 7 you can't do that... :)

You have to do a fresh install, while from windows 8.1 you can update directly from what I understood. :)

Win10 when it launches. But you still go with openSUSE or Ubuntu.

If you're going to install Windows 10, be careful with any sensitive information because the tech preview has a keylogger for debugging purposes. It will be removed in the release build though.

Every topic I post in dies.

No need, xp installed service packs with no problems, every time. Also win 8 to 8.1 with no problems. I plan on formating due to the fact that I installed win 8 close to 2 years ago. :)

Stupid decision. Windows 7 is inferior to 8.1. Opinions have nothing to do with it. Windows 8. 1 is just flat out better. If you already had 7 there wouldn't be a need to upgrade but buying windows 7 if you already have windows 8.1 or buying windows 7 today is stupid. Only morons would actually do that.
