Oppo find 7, earphones with remote control

Hello, I bought a pair of JBL Reflect A and they work very well. But my phone doesn't seem to work with the remote control that is attached to the headphones.

 

The remote works with a iPhone 5 and a Samsung Galaxy 5 so I know that it isn't the remote.

 

Any way to solve this or am I screwed?
