"nvlddmkm" Black screen crash...

Ever since I got my second monitor, I've been getting the nvlddmkm black screen crash. 

 

I get the warning:

 

Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

 

And then everything returns to normal after the black screen.

 

Today I had hard reset my PC since the screen stayed black this time though I could still here the audio from my video I was watching. The error in the event log read:

 

The description for Event ID 13 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
 
So my question is, is their a fix to this or do I have to RMA my gtx 970?
 
I'm not sure what other information has to be provided and sorry if I missed something. Just really frustrated as I always seem to get the faulty products or weird bugs...
