(Prebuild) Arctic Dragon

Chiobe

!Note, this is the build I will end up with, so might have to get extra parts that fits my current hardware, as I cant replace everything in one go.

This is a system ment for video editing, while also having good performance in games.

I know my budget is a little hard to tell, but I should be able to spend 6,000$ or more per year, so its doable, will just take me a while.

I'm looking for help with getting this build as white and red (mostly liquid) as possible (My inspiration: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/120548-build-log-snefs-bloody-angel/?p=3528000).
I'm also looking for confirmation that I got everything I need and that I got the right parts.

The plan is a 3 loop system: 4x 560mm in top for CPU, RAM and Chipset, 4x 560xx in bottom for GPUs and 2x 420mm for hard drives.
That should be the cleanest and overall best cooling for everything.

Not the best render, but should give an idea as too what the hell I'm thinking :P

Much envy

Very hating

wow

Onto serious terms: I wish great success, I followed the topic, because I WANT to see what kind of beast you will create with a budget/creativity like this. Judging by the renders, you will have one beautiful beast ;)

Also, isn't the cooling *slightly* overkill for what you are doing?

Does this even work?

The hard drive loop I have no idea about, so there I'm just doing what happend to fit in the front of the case.

The GPU loop got 4 rads on 3 Titan X, because I think 2 rads is too little for the overclocked cards and 3 would leave an chamber almost empty.

The only direct overkill is the CPU loop atm, as 4 rads on a single 5960x might be too much. I might skip the extra pedestal on top and have 2 rads instead, will see how things end up.

Also, take in mind that those numbers are based on silent fans while having enough cooling.

If anyone can show me a fan that can be quiet, fit the theme and provide better cooling on less space (higher speed?), feel free to let me know.

Well, you know... There's a trend going on with Noctuas currently that they dominate the market with their fans. The original poop-brown Noctuas will certainly be better than the Bitfenix Spectre fans, in terms of sound and how much air it can move(static pressure aswell). Although  I don't think poop-brown fits your theme. You could repaint them(or get someone to repaint them)

There are also 2 other Noctua types, the Industrial PPC and the Redux

I did some digging and apparently even the Redux fans move more air, and operate below or at the same noise levels that the Bitfenix Spectre fans operate at and have slightly higher static pressure on top of that. And these can come pre-painted(judging by the specs on Bitfenix's page and Noctua's page)

The IndustrialPPC is certainly better in terms of how much air it can move, and it has a much higher static pressure, but it runs at a slightly higher RPM, thus it's operational noise will be higher. These can also come pre-painted I think.

Finding a better fan is not the problem. The problem is making it with with the theme (white where visable and red led where you only see the led), while also being PWM fans.

And so far so does Bitfinix Spectre PWM and PWM LED hold the best numbers and look.
