PC turns on, all fans are spinning, no signal to Monitor

StreetcarTrixx

I just finished installing i5 into my MSI Z97S motherboard and everything fit. I plug the PC in, and turn it on, all fans spin, computer has power,

but my monitor gives me this error: "There is no signal coming from the computer."

Is my brand new mobo a doa??

Might be a DOA.

Do you have a graphics card installed?

Try to reseat the cpu (taking the cpu out of the motherboard and placing it back)

Also, try to boot the pc with only 1 stick of ram.

All the cables plugged in? GPU cable CPU/Mobo?

EDIT: Check the ram as well.

EDIT 2: Are you using a GPU? make sure the dvi/hdmi is plugged into the GPU not the Motherboard.

I'd hope not.

What's the rig's full specs? If you have a graphics card plugged in you'll need to use that as your output.

Otherwise, is your screen set to the right input?

Sig under construction.

The entire rig's specs include the i5 4590, a Msi Z97S Krait motherboard, 16gb of g.skill ripjaws at 1600mhz, two hard drives and a GTX 960 FTW+

Are the fans spinning on the 960? I'm assuming you've connected the right power connectors.

I've once made the mistake of not plugging in the CPU power connector properly and not booting because of that.

Yes they are spinning. When I press the power switch, all fans turn on, CPU fan, GPU fans, even case fans. But no display to monitor

Try uninstalling the 960 and use the iGPU

SOrry for late responce, but this motherboard takes two 4 pins for atx power I thought...? And yes I can shut the pc down when the fans are spinning

It turns on but gives me the error: There is no signal coming from your computer.

I'm fairly sure that It is that motherboard, UNLESS you have an incompatible CPU/RAM or didn't install one properly
