Titan x vs 980 ti

can someone explaine me why NVIDIA (sorry with my poor english) just did't take the Titan X and lower the nomber of vram for 6gb in place of doing 

gpu : 28nm GM200-310 TMUs : 176 this two change ?

Cos they can.  And still get similar performance.

yes but if they put the full gpu we will gut a better performance?

and a higher price tag...

i think the price tag is more affect by the 12gb ddr5

Yes it's but Nvidia has to arrange it so that the Titan X doesn't become irrlevant to the hardcore crowd. They still need a reason to charge somebody another 300$ or so and 6GB of ram extra may not be enough to win anbody that is sane over.

look at the 960 4gb vs a 980 they have the same vram but way different capability and price

GM206. 980 is GM204. 960 is exactly half of a 980 spec wise.
