$500 AUD Build for a friend

My friend wants me to build him a PC purely for gaming and general use.

He has a max budget of $500 AUD, excluding a HDD, operating system, monitor, mouse/keyboard.

He wants a compact mATX style of build, he likes the bitfenix prodigy M, if there is anything like it for cheaper please include it in the build.

He wants the most for his money.

Thanks!

500 AUD is not really enough for a gaming PC these days, but maybe we can work something out

"He wants the most for his Money"

2nd Hand PC or BUST

You can buy a machine with SO SO SO SO SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH more power than buying a new PC with that budget.

2ndGen i5+4-8GBRAM + older but AMPLE GPU like the Nvidia 570/580 or AMD 7850/7870 for example, $500 would go a lot further performance wise...

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

For that budget, you could get a Windows 95 Smokerblower with a Tube monitor.

This is just an unrealistic budget. Here you.

Suss out Gumtree for Desktops, price range of $350-550 and see if you can haggle it down further.
