I think i'm stupid. It does a successful load of GRUB, as soon as I removed the (from the boot list excluded) floppy in the drive.

Hi

My System doesn't output anything to the screen, I suspect a failed graphics card.

This is not a new build, I drove it for at least 2 Years in that configuration, so let's check all the Points in the Readme to not posting Systems:

The parts "The machine does nothing" can be jumped, spins up the fans.

Also the points "PSU delivering enough power" and "is everything plugged in" can be ruled out,

as the required power doesn't increase doing nothing and as I never opened or moved the case since I fixed the failing power button 2 years ago

and the system was working a few months ago, I think it's reasonable to say that the connectors aren't loose.

Clearing the Bios I'll be doing tomorrow, as it's at time of this writing 01:03 (GMT+2, 24h)

and I'm no longer concentrated enough, to fiddle inside the machine.

Hardware configuration:

AMD Dualcore - nothing more do I know atm, I guess an crusty Athlon series

Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1000 (please don't ask for the Board revision)

nVidia somewhat passivly cooled toy, crappy Cuda-Support (Cuda v. 1.2 I think)

generic floppy drive (not just for satiric uses)

LG DVD writer (probably SATA)

1x Sata + 1x PATA-Harddrive (both magnetic)

Software:

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32 Bit.

some daemons for testing and internal purposes (Apache httpd, ProFTPd, some random kind of XMPP-Daemon, MySQLd, and the forgotten ones.)

Nice summary of nothing, now what?

I guess it has no integrated graphics, does it?
