Best m.2 drive

so i want an ssd and also want to take advantage of the m.2 port and speeds and drives you recommend around 250 gb 

My speakers dont even fit on or under my desk...PA's FTW

This depends on whether or not your m.2 port is connected to a pci-e lane or sata.

 

You won't see a speed benefit if your m.2 port is sata based over a sata ssd drive.

 

if it is pci-e based, you'll also need to know if it is pci-e 2x or 4x.

 

if it is 2x, you will want to go with  Plextor M6e

if it is 4x, you will want to go with Samsung SM951
