To cut down on redundant threads I am posting this. This is based only on official information, not on rumors, many of which contradict each other anyway making it pointless to speculate based on them.

AMD R9 390X (Fiji XT) FAQ:

Q: When will it launch?
A: We don't know the exact date. Sometime soon. (UPDATE: June 16th, 2015)

Q: How much will it cost?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: How is the performance?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: How is the power consumption?
A: We don't know yet, but it's expected to be fairly high.

Q: How is the energy efficiency?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: How much heat will it produce?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: How is the stock cooler performance and noise?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: When are non-reference cards going to be available?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: How much will the new HBM memory help overall performance?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: How much will the new HBM memory help overall power consumption?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: Will it have 4GB of memory or 8GB?
A: We don't know yet. According to rumors it will have 8GB, but according to rumors it will only have 4GB. Your choice on who to believe. Personally I'm betting on rumors.

 

Q: Will it support HDMI 2.0?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: Will it support DisplayPort 1.3?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: What is the I/O configuration going to be? How many DisplayPort outputs will it have?
A: We don't know yet.

 

Q: Will it overclock well?

A: We don't know yet.

Q: Is it going to be awesome?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: Will it beat the GTX TITAN X?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: Will it beat the GTX 980 Ti?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: Will it beat the GTX 980?
A: We don't KNOW yet, but one can only hope.

Q: Will it beat two GTX 980s?
A: We don't know yet, but probably not.

Q: Should I get the 390X or the TITAN X?
A: Get whichever one is better.

Q: Should I get the 390X or the 980 Ti?
A: Get whichever one is better.

Q: Which one is better?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: What if it's 95% the performance of the TITAN X but one tenth the price? Should I still get the "better" TITAN X, huh? Huh??
A: If that makes it a better option in your estimation, then get that. Better doesn't just mean higher performance.

Q: Will it be able to run 4K at 60fps?
A: Yes.

Q: Sorry, I meant will it be able to average at least 60fps at 4K in modern demanding games at maximum settings?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: But can it run-
A: Yes.

Q: Will it even be called the 390X? I heard a rumor the 390X will just be a rebadged 290X and the Fiji XT cores will be used in a TITAN-style product!
A: We don't know yet. Although the name "390X" is only rumored in the first place so if you think rumors are credible then it seems you have a few options. Believe whatever you want, anything you come up with you'll probably be able to find a rumor to back you up. Or join the rest of the community in being skeptical of all rumors, kicking back our legs, and relaxing while we wait for the card to actually be released.

Q: Should I get the 390X or wait for the 490X?
A: *sigh*

Seriously though 1080ti or 490X someone tell me I need to know right now

Someone in the comments of a pc gamer article said the 490x will have 2tb of VRAM, go for that.

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.
