Question - New monitor / upgrade?

Hello!

First of all, an HUMONGOUS THANK YOU to Linus for doing this.

I have watched a ton of your vids on youtube, and it's helped me alot.

I am an "oldschool" gamer, with emphasis on old - but I've managed to tag along so far..

However I'm starting to confuse myself with a billion questions, that I can't answer myself.

I have watched some vids, but I still it overwhelming lol.

SO...

This is about monitors!

I currently have a Samsung Syncmaster 206bw 22'inch 2ms responsetime. 60 hrz

However it has died on me more times that I can count, and it's time to upgrade!

I am looking into getting a 144 hrz this time, but which should I look for?

BenQ, Asus, Acer? I've seen the linus vids, and I would love to get a 4k gsync masterpiece...

However, I don't think my current setup can handle such a monitor?

I have looked into getting this one:

Asus 24" LED VG248QE - Is it any good?

My demands are:

- 24 inch
- 1-2 ms
- 144hz
- inputlag under 10ms

- No shine finish

- Matte screen

- Good for FPS gaming, AND graphic work, movies etc.

My PC system specs are:

Processor    Intel® Core i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30GHz
Manufacturer    Intel
Speed    3.6 GHz
Number of Cores    4
Video Card    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
Manufacturer    NVIDIA
Chipset    GeForce GTX 760
Dedicated Memory    2.1 GB
Total Memory    3.9 GB
Memory    8.2 GB
Operating System    Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Service Pack    1
Size    64 Bit
Edition    Home Premium
Display Maximum Resolution    1680 x 1050
DVD    HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS50 ATA Device
CD    HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS50 ATA Device
Drive
Size    921.7 GB
Free    136.7 GB

Games I play vary, but they are:

Quake, Civ5, Mafia, MassEffect3, BF4, GTA5, to mention a few.

So I kindly ask, what can I run with that setup? Is my GFX decent enough?

Obviously, the card can't run a 4k gsync... can it? I mean there is no point in buying an amazing monitor, if my system can't handle it?

*I apologize before hand for bad english and stupid questions, I'm Danish and old. :)
