Please recommend me a reliable PSU for this build. (i5 4690k, r9 290x)

lol1290

I still haven't chosed my PSU because there are so many out there, and you get confused really fast by the specs of each one.

So I am asking, if someone can recommend a good reliable PSU for the money.

Max budget for the PSU: 80 euro (but I would really appreciated if it would be under that price)

The store I will order from: http://mindfactory.de

It would be nice if its atleast semi-modular,

It has to be between 620-750w. (If its 750w, it will give me an option of crossfire r9 290x later, but if its not, that OK too)

PC specs:

i5 4690k

Asus r9 290x Platinum

Silverstone PS11

Gigabyte ga-z97x-sli

Hyper 212 evo

WD blue 1tb

Samsung 850 evo 120gb

1x extra 120mm fan

8gb (2x4) 1600mhz ram

Thx for the recommendatons!

I would recommend going with 850w for CF down the line.

Sig under construction.

why? Because its superflower

Seriously their PSUs are awesome.

EDIT: This is for CF

Choose whichever you like and has a minimum of 80+ bronze rating. Recommended brands are corsair, evga, seasonic, xfx, fractal, nzxt, silverstone and cooler master

If you really don't want to spend more than 80€ then your chances of going CF in the future are basically zero. You will probably not find a good 750+W PSU at that price, and since you would be stressing it a fair bit with those 2 R9 290x's you don't want to cheap out on it. So in your situation I'd opt for a 550-600W unit from a reputable manufacturer (note, manufacturer, NOT brand. check the OEM and not just the brand).

I'll see what mindfactory has to offer, gimme a minute.

2 excellent PSUs, both are in your pricerange. The 550W version is enough for your setup, but you can opt for 650W to make sure. But as I said, no CF.

Um... what about that max price of 80 euro I wrote???

Pff, the first one I would like to recommend is the http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/750-Watt-CoolerMaster-V-Series-Modular-80--Gold_970134.html

although it is already €100

Again, the max price is 80 euro.

Ok, so I decided to screw that crossfire for now, Im gonna bother with that in next 4 years, but I need a link or a name of a good PSU (that price is from the site I mentioned), that will have quite a big head room for OC'ing, because I want to be more than sure, that it will be enough watts.

Hehe I missed that part

@Nohrellas has other recommendations that is good for a non cf setup and under 80 euros(in his/her post above).

Why are you making so many threads about it?

For your 80 Euro budget you can get this to run a single 290X http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/650-Watt-CoolerMaster-G650M-Modular-80--Bronze_937513.html

Or this if you'd like to CrossFire later on http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/800-Watt-LEPA-MaxBron-Modular-80--Bronze_979631.html

800 is perfectly fine for 290X CF as long as you don't go crazy on overclocks. And don't get mislead by the brand, it's actually a decent unit. http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=413

If you want to overclock then definitely the 650W one.

Should be in your price range and it's a really good unit. Maybe don't go completely nuts on OCing but with 650W you do have quite a bit of headroom with a single card.

Not all Corsair, EVGA, and Silverstone are great compared to competing options, should judge by OEM not brand name

Third time's the charm: http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/650-Watt-Super-Flower-Golden-Green-HX-Non-Modular-80--Gold_944621.html

Enough headroom for OCing and a very reputable manufacturer. Good reviews overall as well, I'd go for this one if you really can't/don't want to spend more.

For your 80 Euro budget you can get this to run a single 290X http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/650-Watt-CoolerMaster-G650M-Modular-80--Bronze_937513.html

I'm making so many threads, because every time I make one, some people say that the first PSU is better, other say that the second is better, because of the manufacturer, the third say I should get a totally different PSU, and so on.... that why I get really confused and ask alot of questions about it...

I have been looking at the G650M about a week ago, and they haven't been selling them, so apperantly they are again...Thx for reminding me of that PSU.

M12II fits in the budget better and also gives OP full modularity http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/620-Watt-Seasonic-M12II-620-Modular-80--Bronze_946749.html

The Golden Green performs better but only by 0.01-0.02V in voltage regulation at similar load points. The Seasonic has even better ripple suppression, and the efficiency isn't really something that's going to be noticeable on the power bill.

For within your budget, G650M is the best for the money on that site. For at or close to your budget, M12II is the best for the money there. Depends if you're willing to spend a bit more for full modularity and slightly better performance. G650M is not a group-regulated unit though, so voltage regulation will be better across the load range.
