Well did you look over your pc to see if anything else was damaged?  If not look over each component.  Also a 400 watt psu will be enough for this pc you speak of.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Thanks. I have looked. And there is no visible damage. I am only temporarily using this 400w psu to varify the pc is ok before i go buy a seasonic m12ii 500w. Im just not shure its rated wattage will be what it can output after it being sat in a pc for a while. My freind ripped the psu out of a pentium 4 custom machine. Ill have to see the psu brand to feel safe testing with it

lol CX400 damn that's old

For testing purposes it should be fine. However I wouldn't run any games on it as a 5670 draws more power then I'd like to from a PSU like that (which is only rated for 360W on 12V btw)

Just don't start running heavy programs until you get your new PSU.

I agree with the guys on this post, running any heavy apps and games would cause some damage, rather keep using it for booting and accessing windows but wait until your seasonic arrives to fully use the PC.

Cheers,

Mike
