Pimp my LG lucid

I have the original LG lucid and its pretty meh. Android hasn't been updated on it, the battery hardly lasts, it does play games decent though. I can get a new battery but first I want to know if its worth it. I won't be using it for texting or calling either. Games do run fairly well but in general its a bit laggy. Ideas?
