The future

Xv Ghostly vX

Can anyone predict how long before a single or dual GPUs could play a AAA title (like Battlefield 4) in 4k at 144 fps. I know this would be expensive.

Also.......

When will a 4k G-Sync IPS 144hz 1ms delay monitor release that is at least 27", maybe even 30 something ".

Okay, for the first one, now probably. 2 Titan Xs on lowest settings, if we ignore the fact that there are no screens that can support this.

For the second one, maybe never.

Sig under construction.

1. Multiple Titan Xs can probably already do it.

2.  IDK, but response time isn't as important as you'd think. Refer to #1 here.

EDIT: Nvm, looks like 4 way Titan X gets ~111 FPS at 4k ultra for BF4. Disabling MSAA will probably make a large enough difference. Even so, won't be too long before we come across a GPU setup that can do 4k ultra for BF4 @ 144 fps.

No... I have a dream that one day this forum will rise up and live out the true meaning of seeing: "We hold the IPS v2 to be 1ms response, that all displays are created perfect."

IPS v2, which will have a response time of 1ms (I made it up), will be our savior!

I don't do signatures.

A momitor like that? We might see g-sync 60hz but 144hz will be forever . Honestly.. From other people's opinin. For say I had a huge 25 ft by 15 ft room. Wouldn't a 43inch 4k 60hz TV be fine for gaming. I'd obviously be on a couch and keyboard and mouse extensions exist. It's also a smart TV. This in my opinion is the next generation of gaming for PC. I'll,always love having 3 monitrous though. Wish I could, find an example of what I meant..

I mean, forever is kind of ridiculous to say. I mean, 20 years from now it would probably be pretty common.

1. Within a few years, maybe just a couple.

2. Quite some time if ever.
