Best 144hz monitor for CSGO?

So far I have managed to make it to LE with just a 60hz monitor. But now that I have a job I can afford a better monitor and would like to know what the best one for csgo would be? I'm not looking to spend over $300 so anything under that would be great. Any help would be appreciated!

There are probably better things to upgrade then a 60hz monitor.

What do you think I should upgrade because I just got a 970, and my i5 3570k is good enough.

Week why do you need 144hz a 60hz panel is really enough.

A 144hz monitor has a way higher refresh rate than my current monitor and can display 144 fps. So I don't see why I wouldn't upgrade when it offers an advantage in games like csgo.

Does it really offer that much of a advantage, unless you want to brag other than that nope.

I moved from a 60hz monitor to a 144hz monitor last November, and I can say that having a higher refresh rate does give you an advantage especially in a game such as CS:GO. More frames = smoother graphics = better reaction time.

Completely agree, not to mention just how smooth it feels for gaming in general. I got a 120hz monitor a few years back and noticed a huge difference immediately in everything I do on my comp, not just gaming - I'm guessing 144hz is just that much smoother.

Exactly what I was trying to say! What monitor do you recommend?

I have the Asus VG248QE which is probably the most popular 144hz monitor. There's also the BenQ XL2420Z which I've heard has better colors than the Asus monitor, but it's more expensive. Linus did a review on it a year ago i think, if you wanna check it out  :)

24inch for 1080p?

I thought 21.5 was the max people would go with 1080p.. and move on to 144p @ 24 and higher. Can't judge as I never owned a 24inch 1080p, but I doubt the screen looks "awesome".

1440p at 24inches? Anyone who games on 1440p has atleast a 27inch. What's wrong with 1080? Nothing. To get the advantage of 144hz 1440p It's cheapest is $500

For YouTube, twitch, movies, and ect at 1080p you'd want something like this. I can find something a little cheaper but this will just look a lot better then a LCD monitor. For gaming the VG248QE is what I'm gonna use until,I can get a 1440p 144hz IPS monitor. I don't think there are any 120hz plus IPS 1080 monitors.

It will probably be double that. But its still the best for competitive fps.
