BA driver issues?

KaminKevCrew

I have a pair of Shure SE535, and I generally like them. The issue that I've been having though, is that anything in the lower registers seems to get lost as the audio gets more complex. They can play bass just fine when it's, say, vocals and bass. But when you add in more instruments in the mids and treble, the low end gets lost. Is this a common issue with BA drivers in general, or just my pair? Could it have to do with the two way crossover vs a three way setup?

it could be because of the 2 way crossover setup, since BA drivers are in general lack the power to create bass as loud as dynamic drivers.

my 4R gets really bassy, so i don't think it's a trait of the BA driver.

or maybe what you need is a better IEM

Well, I know I need a better iem :P I was just wondering if it might be my drivers or crossover messing something up...
