XFX cables will not work with an EVGA power supply the pin outs will be different. You need cables for your EVGA PSU.

How close is your build's to JayzTwoCents' Skunkworks? The only difference I can see is the 2 hdd instead of ssd's

Nope, that's for XFX PSUs.

 

My recommendation is Cablemod kits. They are PSU replacement cables made for specific brands. This is their Black&orange kit for EVGA G2 and P2 PSUs, which will fit your unit.
