Can folding degrade the performance of components

Go to solution Solved by mikat,

My pc is in a dusty corner, away from my monitor so I do it every week

then you are good :)

So i have an i3 and it is running at a 100% and the temps are at around 50-59 c , and I would like to know if the performance of parts could possibly worsen over time and use (folding)

No, PC parts don't "wear out" they will work or don't. No in between, unless its something like overheating and throttling

they will degrade, but as long as you have those kinds of temps, you wont notice it :)

important note: if you are folding you should remember to clean your fan filters more often :) like 2 times a month
