I can vouch for these, they're just amazing. I actually like these more than the 650s.

Would these be much of an upgrade over hd 555s?

Not really.. especialy when you can easily mod HD558s and HD555s into HD598s just with a screw driver. You can look it up on youtube.

If it was $99, then its a deal!

It's already half price you would never get it cheaper than this unless it was on a flash sale.

Got them too. Great headphones.

You just need to get a new cable. The stock one is way too long and has a very bulky adapter.

They are at 150$ since January 2015.

I was thinking about that too. Can you recommend a cable? Without the huge 6.3mm jack if possible.

This isn't half price. The normal price is $180. HD 518 sound almost the same at half the price. Hd558 with the foam mod sounds identical.

No the normal price according to amazon is $300 so it is half price

That's Amazon's fake retail price to make you think you're saving more than you actually are.

It was 99 bucks on black friday

^^

Also it's been 150 for months now, it's not half price

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

That is LISTING PRICE. Not it's real price. The real price is roughly $240.
