Mix Dominator with Vengeance?

I have mixed ram before but it was DDR2 server ram way back in the day. I'm upgrading one build from 8gb 1600 Vengeance to 16gb. I was gonma buy another 2x4 kit but idk...I really like the way it would look with two sticks of Dominator added in instead. I know mixing ram is a no no but is there a way around it? Would it work if they got the same cas, stock speeds, and I manually set the voltage?

i mix RAM on my PC

 

no issues

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
