Need router and/or modem suggestions

I am sick of renting the Arris Tg862 from the cable company; the wifi is simply useless and its reliability is poor. It needs a reboot every few days and this is the third cable company provided modem.

My question is, are there any cheap routers or maybe a whole new modem that have good connection speeds for multiple all-day users?

I already made a post about this but it never seemed to of got answered.

Modem: Motorola/Arris SB6121 or 6141(if you have faster than 100MBps Internet)

Any router will probably be better. For something cheaper, TP-Link's AC wireless or N Dual-Band series are great sub $100 routers.

Still a bit expensive. But i did find a router. Here is a link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=0E6-001R-00021

Is this router worth it or should i still look around?

If you're looking at the $20 range, just get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704039&cm_re=TP-Link-_-33-704-039-_-Product

I have 4 of these in various houses and all have lasted year+ with no issues. And they are cheap.

I saw that one but i was put off by the number of 1 star reviews.

But you said you've installed these and they're still working, and this seems to be a pretty popular router. I'll most likely end up getting this one but i'm still open to suggestions

The thing to remember.

It's a $20 router. Theres not many $20 routers out there that last longer than a year or two anyway. Most of those one star reviews were expecting magic from a $20 box that costs $5 to make in china :)

Well i know it won't last forever, just hopefully long enough until i can buy a more expensive reliable router. Thank you for the suggestion!
