Would this graphics card fit?

IMadeYouReadThis
Go to solution Solved by Guest Kloaked,

Looks like it will. Is there two slots available on the IO side? That's a strange looking shield for the PCI slots, from this view anyways.

Also, before anyone bitches about putting a 970 in the machine, there's a 4770 in it. It's okay.

Would a gigabyte g1 gtx 970 fit in HP ENVY 700-215XT? Here is picture of inside.

Yes however it would be a waste of money due to the slow processor!

Would be better off with a R9 270.

What processor is the system using?

Ah ignore that @IMadeYouReadThis

The 4770 won't bottleneck, it looked like an ancient socket!

One more thing, I need to replace the 300W CPU in my system already with an XFX XTR 550W 80+ Gold certified... SO will the PSU fit? I am not very sure, I am very excited though :)

If it isn't screwed in there in a strange way and you won't have to drill holes on the back (where the XFX PSU would be mounted to) then yes it'll fit. That PC has a standard ATX size PSU, so it'll fit.

Yes, it might be a bit more cramped though since the XTR is longer then the PSU already in there.

I'd suggest not getting a G1 in that case though. Airflow is very limited aside from the single rear exhaust. Go for a reference/blower 970 instead.

I actually JUST tried to put a GTX 660 in the same case.  Does not fit as the cages are a few mm too high.  Get an ITX 960/970.
