A Little Project For My First

So, I have been shopping for a mechanical keyboard for probably 15 months now. I had originally been super hyped for the RGB K70 and planned to buy one, but as the time approached (student who works in the summers), I began to question that decision. I wanted to get pbt keycaps and didn't see myself using a lot of the rgb effects day-to-day. I don't like red so much, so I was going to probably set it to purple most of the time, but why pay $40 over the normal k70 if that's all I would do? Also, I don't like the idea of the tiny super key on the k70 and the difficulty with replacing the keycaps. So finally, I decided to take a risk and go with something cheaper and more unknown, but it should make for a fun little project. I may be a heretic for not going with actual cherry switches, but this will be my first mechanical keyboard if everything works together as planned:
