Depends, what kind of sound signature do you like? Bass heavy or clarity?

Razer krakens have a very focused sound signature (enough of the niceties, they're bass cannons, pure and simple)

I was actually looking at the A50s, but when I got around to purchasing my headphones, I kept finding the first 20 results were refurbished, and figured that if they get that many RMAs, then I'd take a pass. Good reviews otherwise.

Don't know much about the game zeroes.

In the same price range of the A50's are the steelseries H wireless, Love my pair. Unless you need the headphones to go painful loud I'd recommend them to anyone that want a wireless headset, and doesn't mind paying for quality.

Have you thought about getting a non-gaming headset and just buying an external mic? i think that would be a better solution for you.

I would go with sennheiser momentum, they are a bit expensive but since you put the razer kraken forged edition on this list, i assume you can afford them. These are some truly great headphones

Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X or Sennheiser HD 558 plus whatever Mic you choose. The Blue Snowflake is a good entry desktoo mic.

+1 for that as a good first open back headphones I would also throw in the dt990 which I find more gassy than both and yet still tight.

For closed option I'll go with the beyerdynamic dt770 or a Sony mdr 1r
